Hi everyone –
First off, I have a brand new indie series out! I hope you enjoy LURE OF OBSESSION – Book 1 in The Muse Chronicles!
The Prophecy – “Every generation the nine daughters of Zeus are reborn, and with their rebirth are also nine Guardians. They will be marked by the gods, and given gifts to protect his treasure. Their abilities will only be unlocked when they find their muse.”
Melanie Jacoby teaches English at Crystal City High School. She’s also the reborn Muse of Tragic Poetry, but she isn’t prepared for the tragedy of finding her roommate dead at the bottom of the stairs.
Nate Malone is the detective assigned to the case, but as the evidence points to an accidental fall, the visions begin. He sees a killer in a gold Kronos mask.
Mel is the next target.
The Order of the Titans are eager to bring about the return of the Golden Age of Man, and they’re prepared to kill the Muses to complete their mission. But Nate’s desire to protect Mel is almost as strong as his hunger for her.
And tragedy isn’t part of his plan.
You can also preorder LEGEND OF LOVE now…
The book will be out Dec. 5th.
The blurb is coming soon, but I can tell you this book will be Callie, our resident Muse of Epic poetry, and a cocky Navy Seal named Hunter Armstrong!
Sparks are going to fly!
I’ve also got a rafflecopter giveaway going for a chance to win a signed paperback or and Amazon gift card! J

And today is extra special because today marks 5 years since I’ve been a published novelist! NIGHT WALKER came out today 5 years ago as a launch title for Entangled Publishing! *tossing confetti*
So how does that tie in with the new Muse Chronicles series?
It all goes back to meeting Ray Bradbury!
About 2 years before I got “the call” from a publisher about Night Walker, I had been sending the book out to agents and editors and the rejections after getting so close were crushing me, and over time I went from writing every single night, to hardly ever writing. I lost my passion.
If you’ve never seen Ray Bradbury speak about writing, go to YouTube and check him out. He was ALL passion for the written word. And when I asked him how I could improve my writing, he didn’t recommend a book on craft.
His eyes lit up and he grinned and said, “Write a new short story every week for a year. You’ll be a new writer by the end.”
By that point in my writing journey, I had already had a few short stories published and I knew you didn’t make very much money from them. But a couple of months later, I opened up Word on my computer and thought. Maybe I’ll try just one. I found a wonderful blogging group (Shout out to Blogophilia!) and wrote Internet Dating Secrets.
And an amazing thing happened… I remember why I loved to write! So I wrote another story, and another, and I ended up writing a new story every week for 18 months! J During that Challenge, I wrote a short story called, Moonlight, that led to the Moon Series being born. And while churning out weekly stories, I also wrote two novels, Moonlight and Hunter’s Moon.
But there was another short story that sparked an idea I didn’t have time to write until now. The story was titled Unemployed Muses Anonymous, but I really loved the concept of the Muses being reborn in our time and their personalities being influenced by their “muse”…. So once I carved some time in my schedule, The Muse Chronicles are now a reality! 😀
Two book series now, from short stories… Ray Bradbury knew exactly what he was talking about! J
So now on my 5 year anniversary, I want to send a big shout out of gratitude to Ray Bradbury for the 52 Stories in 52 Weeks Challenge. He reminded me why I write…. It’s not for money or fame, it’s for the love of telling stories and sharing them.
My books have also brought some AMAZING readers into my life and I’m SO grateful to all of you!!!
Thanks for celebrating with me!

Here’s to the next 5 years and many more books to come….
