Hi Everyone โ
Happy New Year!
I’m still not used to typing or writing 2016 yet, but I’m sure it’ll come.
2015 was a year of crazy ups and downs for me. When I look back through the calendar, there were definitely some highs:
Celebrating my grandparents 70thย Wedding Anniversary with them!
Reno got home safely from a semester at the University of Vienna in Austria!
And then performed in his first Carmen!!!
And in September and November, I had two more book releases! ๐
Blood Moon won an Award of Excellence
And Night Angel finaled in contests too! ๐
But in the midst of all those cool things, I lost my dear sweet Yodette.
She was the best little dog and writing partner ever.
I’m hoping in 2016 I’ll find another fur-kid to snore while I write, and dance when I get home.
Strangely enough, Yodette started to decline the night we got home from seeing the Disney movie Inside Out. Maybe I was meant to see the movie right then, I’m not sure, but the message was that you can’t recognize joy without sorrow.
It’s the blue, down times that make the joy sweet.
And I cling to that when I get sad. She brought me so much joy as is evident by the sadness left behind.
So I try to embrace the blue moments and know they’re only there to remind me of how much joy we had together. I loved her so much.
Yeesh, I don’t want to end on a weepy note, so let’s look ahead to 2016โฆ.
I’m finishing up Blue Moon now. Soon you’ll all get to know Logan Reynolds, the lead singer of Logan and the Howlers. Can’t wait for you to read his story!
I’m planning on also having Wolf Moon out later this year which will be Luke’s bookโฆ I think he’s going to surprise us all!
And if that’s not enough, I have a secret project I’m finishing up for my literary agent to shop around, and I’m super excited that I’m planning to self-publish more this yearโฆ Keep your eye on this blog for updates on a NEW series from me!

I’m excited to hear of all your plans for 2016! Sounds like we have a lot to look forward too! I’m sorry to hear about the loss of Yodette, Lisa. Our fur babies are so precious.
I’m excited too Rebecca! ๐
And you’re so right about our fur kids… They add so much joy to life…
I don’t make them but I do want to smile more while driving. I’ve noticed how grumpy we all look behind the wheel :).

I am resolved to step out of my comfort zone more.

Happy New Year, I’m very sad for the loss of your fur baby, but 2016 will bring you good things. Ana
I hope to get to the point my health is no longer in a decline, if I can just get to a point where I can be available for my family, friends and authors who need me, I’d be a happy lady in 2016
My New Year goals are to enjoy my family and get a bit more organized
So sorry about Yodette. Hopefully 2016 will be a better year for you.
I usually don’t make resolutions since I don’t keep them, but in 2016, I’m going to try to eat healthier.
I always like the start of a new year, with so many new promises and opportunities!
